Pangolin Aviation Recovery Fund

About the Fund

The Pangolin Aviation Recovery Fund has a mandate to invest in aviation related businesses. In this case, Aviation is not defined and can include, but it is not limited to airlines, airports, cargo & logistics, support services, terminal commercial businesses, aircraft lessors, online travel agencies, maintenance & repair, manufactures, and car hires. The fund can invest globally. It was launched on 1 January 2021.

The Master Fund will invest primarily in listed securities of companies which, in the view of the Investment Manager, are trading below their true and realisable value. Stock selection will be based on a bottom-up approach and will be supported by fundamental research. The scope of the Fund, through the Master Fund, is to invest in the global aviation sector. Some of these investments shall at times likely be in securities listed in emerging markets.

Initially, the focus will be on companies that will not only survive the Covid-19 pandemic, but emerge stronger.
